What to Wear Hiking
If you live to hike chances are you don’t wait til fall to do so. But, for me hiking in the fall in Minnesota is better than spring or summer hiking. Why you ask? Well, because I hate mosquitos and when hiking in the spring and summer you get bombarded by those dang bugs no matter what bug spray you use. In the fall, it’s too cool for mosquitos so that’s why I choose fall hiking.
From the right shoes or boots, to the hat you choose to wear, being comfortable is the most important thing when hiking. Nobody wants sore feet, blisters, clothing that pinches or rubs, or to be too hot or too cold. That’s where this list comes at a great time and for a great reason. Being comfortable and knowing what to wear hiking is key to a successful and enjoyable hike.
Below I share a lot of fun and fashionable hiking products from adidas. Things like shoes, boots, fleece, pants, shirts, jackets, and hats.
Hiking Shoes
A good hike starts with good footwear. If your footwear pinches, rubs, is too tight or too loose, it can cause a lot of issues. There is nothing worse when hiking than having sore feet, except dealing with blisters and sores after the hike. Believe me, I’ve been there!
An all around good hiking shoe for women is the Terrex Skychaser AX5 GORE-TEX Hiking Shoes by adidas. Available in 4 colors and many sizes you are sure to find the perfect fit and color.
Men can find the Terrex Skychaser AX5 GORE-TEX Hiking Shoes in 6 colors and many sizes. Again, a perfect option for any kind of hiking.
Both options are made to be comfortable and keep your feet dry. Also lightweight and great traction so you can hike any terrain.

Some people don’t like a shoe because they might need ankle support. Check out these options for hiking boots.
For women the Terrex Skychaser Mid GORE-TEX Hiking Shoes are a great option. 3 colors and lots of sizes.
A great option for men is the Terrex Anylander CLIMAWARM+ Hiking Shoes that come in 2 colors and a range of sizes.
If you are wondering what to wear hiking, on your feet, these boots will be comfortable and your feet will love you after.
Wondering What to Wear Hiking to Stay Warm
Hiking in the fall means ever changing temperatures. You can leave in the early morning and it might be chilly, but by noon the sun can be warm only to then turn chilly again as the sun starts to fall.
One thing to keep in mind when fall hiking is layering. Wear breathable t-shirts with a breathable jacket over top that can be taken off and wrapped around your waist when you get warm. Sweating while hiking is fine and good for the body, but if you sweat to much you will get chilled to fast when the temperature changes later in the day.
Women’s Clothing Options
I love this Terrex Xperior Climawarm Light Fleece Hooded Jacket for over a t-shirt, or even over a long sleeve shirt. You can take if off easily and tie it around your waist. Being that it’s fleece lined, and a zip up it’s my top pick.
As for a T-shirt, you can do a short sleeve or long sleeve. It just depends on you.
Because the temps in the fall are unpredictable these are my top pick of pants. The TERREX Utilitas Hiking Zip-Off Pants. If you get warm, just zip off the legs and you have shorts and then when temps fall, zip the legs back on.
Men’s Clothing Options
A great option for men is the Terrex Xperior Softshell Fleece Hooded Jacket. Keeps you warm when you need it, but can be easily removed and wrapped around your waist.
Just like the zip off pants for women, these Terrex Utilitas Hiking Zip-Off Pants for men are my top pick.
Best Hats for Hiking
Men and women can keep the sun off their faces with great hats made for hiking.
This Victory 5 Bucket Hat comes in 3 colors and looks very nice on everyone.
Hiking Accessories
When hiking there are always things you need. Snacks, water, sunscreen, bug dope, etc. Here are some great hiking accessories you can grab to make your hiking trip more efficient.
